Actress Jaya Bachchan, who is often remembered for her performances in films like Guddi, Sholay, Mili, Uphaar, celebrated her 65th birthday today.

Her husband Amitabh Bachchan turned to Twitter and tweeted thanks on her behalf.  'Thank you all for the greetings for the 9th for Jaya's birthday,' he updated.

Meanwhile, Bollywood stars tweeted their wishes for her:

Esha Deol: 'Happy birthday to the most amazing mother in the world !!! Jaya Aunty :) we love u'

Arshad Warsi too tweeted his wishes: 'Wishing my fairy God mother, Jaya Bachchan a very Happy Birthday.... Thank you for being you Jayaji...' he wrote.

Bollywood actors and directors turned to Twitter to pay tributes to Margaret Thatcher who passed away due to a stroke on Monday in London, aged 87. Here's what they said:

Shekhar Kapur: 'RIP Margaret Thatcher. Lot of us students in London at that time did not agree with her Thatchernomics,but she was a great lady nevertheless. Worked for Margaret Thatcher's late husband when he was Director at Burmah Oil n I a young Corporate Planner fresh out Uni, so met her often.'

Yesterday's match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Kolkata Knight Riders in Jaipur was extra special for actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra as their son Viaan attended his first IPL match.

The shooting for Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is over. 

Anupam Kher, who recently finished shooting for the film, shared a picture of him with Johnny Lever amd Sucheta Khanna and tweeted: 'Finally wrapped shooting of Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. Pic with With Johny Lever & Sucheta Khanna. Thank you YPD2 team.:)'
