Hrithik Roshan celebrated his 38th birthday with the media at his Juhu residence in suburban Mumbai, and spoke about his 12 years in the film industry.

He also spoke about his big upcoming release Agneepath, and what it feels like to be called the sexiest man in the country.

What is the best birthday gift that you have received so far?

The best gift for me is that sitting here I can bring a smile to your face and you can put a smile on my face without saying anything.

I am smiling and you are smiling and that's my best gift.

What is your birthday resolution this year?

For some time now, I have encountered a lot of health issues. I have realised that in our lives the most important thing is health. You can't enjoy anything in life without good health.

I wish for myself, my kids and family, good health.

'Being sexy is only a matter of effort'

At 38, you have been voted the sexiest man in the country. How does that feel?

If you had seen my photograph two-and-a-half months ago, you wouldn't have said that! (laughs).

Being sexy is only a matter of effort. If you follow the right diet and exercise regularly, anyone can have a good physique. It doesn't make me greater than anyone else at all.

You are also known as a gay icon and the most kissed celebrity at Madame Tussaud's...

They are all amazing compliments. I feel fortunate that I can be put on a platform where I can inspire others. It reaffirms my belief that I am on the right track.

I guess through this I will be able to help others achieve something in life because when I was struggling, I also looked up to some people.

Arjun Rampal said that the year 2012 belongs to you. What do you have to say about that?

I love Arjun a lot. I love the fact that other actors have so much of love for each other and I guess that's how we all should function in the industry. It feels good.

Whether 2012 belongs to me or not doesn't really matter. If you all are here next year, it means I am on the right track.

'Agneepath is Priyanka's best work to date'

Amitabh Bachchan created a certain image with Agneepath. Do you plan to do the same with your version of Agneepath?

It is not in my hands. I have put my best effort in the film and to be frank, I don't believe in creating an image or changing an image. I want to do all kinds of roles that come my way.

How was it working with Priyanka Chopra this time?

She is a very special person and a great co-star to work with. I am very comfortable working with her; she is like a live wire on the sets. She is full of enthusiasm and it is very good to be full of positivity.

I think Agneepath is her best work to date.

'We have been scripting Krrish 3 for the past three years'

What preparations are you doing for Krrish 3?

We have been scripting the movie for the past three years and I am very happy with the way it has turned out.

My father (Rakesh Roshan) is very happy as the first schedule of the film has been very successful. It was a difficult shoot but was managed really well.

When it comes to me, I need to get into my best shape because from January 29, I am shooting continuously for the action sequences for 80 days without any break.

It was reported recently that you didn't participate in Bigg Boss grand finale because Salman Khan hosted it.

That's not true at all. There were no talks and I had not discussed anything about appearing on Bigg Boss.

I hadn't even heard about it until I read it in the newspapers. It has been created by one publication and has been circulated to other publications.

'I have learnt from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan'

Hrithik Roshan clebrates his birthday with the media at his residence

You complete 12 years in the industry. How do you look back on those years?

Yesterday morning, I was doing a photoshoot with Dabboo Ratnani and I realised that I did my first photoshoot with him.

It's like a new start for me. For two-and-a-half months I've suffered acute back and knee pain and I almost thought that my career was over.

Today, I feel I have been resurrected and I am feeling really good.

I am fortunate I work with some of the best filmmakers who have helped me grow. I still want to grow and I pray that I get to work with good filmmakers who can guide me.

I am as enthusiastic and nervous today as I was 12 years ago.

Who has been your inspiration?

I have learnt everything from my father. He is the hardest working man I know. Whenever I feel that I have achieved something, I look at him and say to myself that I still have a long way to go.

After my father, I have learnt from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and all the other actors. They have all been an inspiration for me.
