Get your low down on what's happening in the world of Hollywood, right here!

Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole is said to be furious after a Russian website used pictures of hers to promote their mail order bride business.

Cheryl, 27, has been featured as one of the many women seeking a husband on website RussianBrides.org, and in one picture she is seen wearing a wholesome white cardigan over the title of the website.

Another, which is a headshot of her, is shown next to the advice "assess precisely what it is you are looking for in your Russian bride-to-be".

According to the Daily Star, a friend revealed that Cheryl would be livid with the ad.

'She is one of the world's most beautiful women and its not surprising people want to use her image to attract customers,' the Daily Mail quoted the friend as saying.

'However she is extremely careful about any products she endorses -- and this Russian bride agency is most certainly not one of them. It is clearly a deception and the plug needs to be pulled on it,' the friend stated.

The bride ad comes just a couple of months after it emerged that pictures of Cheryl were illicitly used to promote a Russian escort agency.

The Babylon Moscow Escort Agency claimed that Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh were among its "friendly and sophisticated girls waiting for your call".

In another abuse of the X Factor judge's image, doctored photographs of her in X-rated poses have been posted for sale on an auction website.

The snaps, which had been produced by scanning her head on to pornographic pictures, show her naked and wearing skimpy lingerie. They have subsequently been removed by eBay, which has apologised.

The boss of Russian Brides, Irina Crebneva claims Cheryl's photographs had appeared "by mistake" and she had not heard of the singer.

Vanessa Hudgens gets a new makeover

Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens, who became a household name playing angel-faced good girl Gabriella in the High School Musical films, has undergone a startling makeover.

The 22-year-old stepped out at New York Fashion Week looking more goth girl than teen queen, reports the Daily Mail.

And to truly ensure there are no more Disney roles in her future, Hudgens decided to get her first tattoo.

The actress got inked by famed tattoo artist Bang Bang, the man responsible for Rihanna's body art.

Earlier in the day Hudgens was spotted arriving at Milk Studios in New York wearing a floor-length velvet coat to the show, which she took off to unveil another velvet dress with cross embellishments from the designer's fall 2010 collection.

She wore a pair of clunky biker boots with a split toe. The unflattering style has been seen on Sarah Jessica Parker before.

Just last week Hudgens was still holding on to her innocent Disney persona by posing for happy snaps with Disney characters at Disney World in Florida.

But it was a very different story this week, as she went from fresh-faced to dark and mysterious as she rubbed shoulders with the edgy fashion crowd.

Hudgens' sudden style transformation comes after her unexpected break-up with co-star Zac Efron in December after four years of dating.

Cher

The Farrelly brothers, writing and directing team behind hits such as Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary, want to cast Cher in their upcoming Three Stooges remake.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Peter Farrelly revealed that he thought the pop star was "the coolest chick ever."

The singer and Academy Award-winner would co-star as Mother Superior, constantly suffering from wild antics at the hands of the comedic trio. Cher had collaborated with the Farrellys before on 2003's Stuck on You,' reports CBS News.

The project has been in development hell for years, and it is still up in the air as to who will actually play any of the Stooges.

But this could turn out to be a unique career turn for Cher, going from a racy burlesque star to a conservative nun.

'Poker Face' singer Lady Gaga has made history after her latest single became the 1,000th number one on Billboard's Hot 100.

'Born This Way' is 24-year-old Gaga's third US number one single, following her 2009 hits 'Just Dance' and 'Poker Face', and it is only the 19th single to debut at number one in the Hot 100's history, the BBC reported.

Gaga told Billboard magazine that the milestone was "the greatest honour" of her career.

The Hot 100 chart, which began in 1958, ranks songs by a mix of radio airplay, sales and streaming activity data.

With digital sales of 448,000, the track also broke the record for the largest amount of downloads of a song by a female artist in its first week of release.
