Pix: Fashionably pregnant at the Oscars
There have been a number of pregnant actresses spotted at the Oscar red carpet in recent years.
The latest to join the brigade is Natalie Portman, whose baby is due this summer. The actress has been nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in Black Swan.
While we wait to see how she chooses to showcase her baby bump, here's a look at others before her who dazzled the red carpet.
Jessica Alba
Though she wasn't nominated, Alba, who was seven months pregnant at the time, looked like a winner clad as she was in this wine-coloured, feathered Marchesa gown and Cartier diamonds.
Naomi Watts
Naomi Watts didn't tell anyone she was five months pregnant when she walked the red carpet in a yellow drop-sleeved Escada gown.
However, speculation about her trying to conceal her baby bump was rife after seeing her in the loose fit and empire waist gown.
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Almost nine months into her pregnancy, Catherine Zeta-Jones -- who won Best Supporting Actress (for Chicago) -- chose a low-cut black gown with beaded straps and pink coral Fred Leighton earrings to attend the show.
Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett didn't let her pregnancy come in the way of choosing her outfit for the 2008 Academy Awards.
