Strong reactions continue to pour in from Bollywood stars, who condemned Supreme Court’s Sec 377 judgment to criminalise gay sex. Here’s what they said:

Aamir Khan: I am most disappointed with this judgement. It feels very intolerant and violative of basic human rights. Its a shame.

Sonam Kapoor: ‘I'm so ashamed to be an Indian right now...Homophobia should be a crime. It's so shameful that a country which is known for its tolerance for a few thousand years had come to this!!!'

Freida Pinto: ‘Come on India..we can do this..Supreme court verdict expected tomo on legality of homosexuality. Vanquish the stigma! Equal Rights. SC criminalises homosexuality ..AGAIN!! Absolutely apalled by such narrow mindedness. .such a shameful& dark day. I support.’

Amitabh Bachchan: ‘Some very strong views and emotions being expressed on media platforms about this latest Supreme Court judgement !! Question : How will the law authorities decide or apprehend those that commit this 'crime' !!?? High Court in 2009 gave pro judgement on homosexuality. All rejoiced came out got known. Now they fear being identified as criminals.’

Ameesha Patel: ‘Aren't gays people..they all hav d rite to a life..y treat them like outsiders..laws shud b same for all human beings.. N 4 all the people who think being gay is abnormal..I actuli think that they are abnormal n need to grow in their thinking.’

Shabana Azmi: ‘Shocking judgement! Upholding 377 is violative of human rights n anti democratic. SC says Parliament shud scrap 377- it MUST. Criminal? How?’

Sujoy Ghosh: ‘i wanted to show rampant heterosexual sex in my film but apparently even that is banned :( best to stick to oral sex. just talk about it.

Ken Ghosh: ‘Why doesnt the govt issue an ordinance to amend sec 377 ? They moved quite fast when it came to protecting criminals in politics.’

Ritesh Sidhwani: ‘We ask for laws to be changed for Rape Eve teasing & other serious crimes..what we get is section 377. Now we have to add this to our Fight.’

Monica Dogra: ‘According to the Indian Supreme Court... I am a criminal ... They can try and contain what they don't understand but they'll lose.’

Omi Vaidya: ‘Today the Indian Supreme Court reinstated 153 yr old law banning gay sex. Tomorrow they reinstate the Telegraph Act of 1855 banning WiFi.’

Neetu Chandra: ‘Very disappointed with d SC judgement. It's a very old saying that you can't see someone's happiness.Ds one is surely breach of human rights.’

Pooja Bedi: ‘Rape is a crime. Paedophillia is a crime. But What two consenting adults do in the privacy of their room can never be a crime.’

Lisa Ray: ‘Everyone should be free to love. #Sec377’
