Did Karan Johar irritate Ram Gopal Varma?

Ram Gopal Varma is apparently not a fan of birthday greetings. The maverick director, who turned 50 yesterday, tweeted: 'I want all u people who wished me the best year last year to know that I dint have best year so I advise u all to keep ur wishes to urself.'

But his tweet did not stop his colleagues in the industry from wishing him.

Abhishek Bachchan tweeted: 'Today is @RGVzoomin 's birthday and nothing would irritate him more than ALL of twitterverse wishing him. So PLEASE send him "sweet" msgs. Happy birthday RAMU Nana. Have the best year ever and keep smiling!!!!'

Karan Johar joined in: 'Happy birthday @RGVzoomin..i would wish you love and happiness but am sure you much prefer blockbuster success! So happy HIT on the 18th!!!'

'Well Karan I guess I had enough gham nd I wouldn't mind a little khushi ..thank u from my heart for ur wishes,' RGV replied to Karan.

Priyanka Chopra shared the poster of her latest film, Teri Meri Kahaani, and tweeted: 'New poster of #TeriMeriKahaani Say whaaaaa.' 

Ram Gopal Varma denied that Department was based on real life characters. 'Some sections of the press reported 'Department' is based upon real life characters in mumbai police ..its not true,' he clarified.

Karan Johar is enjoying directing Student Of The Year. 'The joy of directing newcomers!!! Their acting innocence can never be replaced...am enjoying playing part director part teacher!!!' he updated.

Pooja Bhatt completed shooting the first schedule of Jism 2. 'Last day of shoot for @jism2 today! Feel an odd sense of melancholy at the end of the phase. Guess that is a sign of an enriching schedule.'

Rajat Kapoor's Fatso is all set to release this May.

Director Anurag Kashyap shared the trailer and tweeted: 'Rajat Kapoor's FATSO , yet another brilliant film sitting idle. Bring it out @PritishNandy when is it releasing. i remember @kalkikanmani raving about it, also some others who saw it in a screening in Amsterdam last year.' 

Producer Pritish Nandy replied: 'Without doubt @mrrajatkapoor is one of our finest film makers. So get ready for Fatso on 4th May. @ankash1009 @kalkikanmani'

Directed by Rajat Kapoor, Fatso is a romantic comedy starring Ranvir Shorey, Gul Panag and Purab Kohli in the lead roles.
