Hollywood actress Demi Moore made a five-day trip to Nepal, and interacted at length with the media in Kathmandu.

She addressed the problem of human trafficking at a news conference organised by Maiti Nepal, a non-profit organisation.

Maiti Nepal aims to protect Nepali girls and women from crimes like domestic violence, trafficking for flesh trade, child prostitution, child labour and various forms of exploitation.

The Ghost actress wrapped up the trip on April 7 after shooting a documentary on human trafficking.

The documentary that the actress was shooting is for news channel CNN's Freedom Project in cooperation with Maiti Nepal. She travelled to remote districts and also participated in the rescue of four trafficked girls from the Nepal-India border.

The actress has started a campaign 'Real men don't buy girls' as a part of the Demi and Ashton Foundation, which she runs with her husband Ashton Kutcher. The organisation aims to eliminate trafficking of children for sex.  

Prior to her visit to Maiti Nepal, the actress posted on Twitter, 'Excited to be visiting Annuradha and Maiti Nepal today with @CNNFreedom Project! She has rescued over 12k women and girls from sex slavery!'
