Here's looking at filmi families, who had a visit from the stork in the year gone by.

B
ollywood buzzed with baby boom in 2011. Some of the hottest celebrities turned parents for the first time while others added to their brood.

Here's a look at the most talked-about star toddlers and baby announcements of last year.

Beti B

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy was always a subject of hot speculation ever since she walked out of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine. Amidst rumours of twins and Amitabh Bachchan's supposed instructions to keep the prying media at bay, Ash and Abhishek made their debut as parents to a bonny baby girl; promptly nicknamed Beti B.

The elated daddy and grandpa announced her birth on Twitter at Mumbai's Seven Hills Hospital on a social networking site. Soon enough, Bollywood's biggest story of the year, was on every news channel, web, print and international publication.

Born on November 16, the youngest member from the Bachchan khandaan is yet to be named but there's no shortage of anxious magazines willing to pay embarrassing sums of money for a photograph of the little one.

Azad Rao Khan

December rang in with good news for Aamir Khan and his director wife Kiran Rao.

The couple turned parents after a long wait and an unfortunate miscarriage through a surrogate mother employing IVF technology.

They've named their baby boy Azad Rao Khan after Aamir's great-granduncle and freedom fighter Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.

The 3 Idiots star has two children -- Junaid and Ira -- from his first marriage to Reena Dutta.

The actor and his wife Shabana (better known as Neha in the industry) -- who made her debut in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Kareeb -- embraced parenthood with the birth of daughter, Ava Nayla, in February.

The newly turned mom and dad couldn't decide between Ava/Nayla and decided to club them both.

The lovey-dovey duo turned mommy-daddy on June 17 to a baby boy named Vir after 11 years of marriage.

Like most celebrities these days, Kaushal was quick to share his joy with Twitter pals by posting an affectionate picture of the family (left).

Few women enjoy or flaunt their pregnancy like Konkona Sen Sharma did.

The acclaimed actress happily posed for the cover of OK! Magazine baring her baby bump for all to see.

The actress subsequently delivered a boy at South Mumbai hospital on March 15. Koko and hubby Ranvir Shorey picked an Arabic name, Haroon, which means protector for their sweet bundle of joy.

Remember the doll-faced star of Shararat, Saaya and Khosla Ka Ghosla?

Tara Sharma and hubby Roopak Saluja turned proud parents yet again with the birth of a boy.

What's interesting is their choice of names. While the first born was dubbed Zen, the new one's called Kai.

The Expectant Mommies

One of the coolest mommies-to-be, Lara Dutta isn't afraid to flaunt her baby bump in figure hugging dresses on the red carpet.

The 33-year-old worked all through her pregnancy (Chalo Dilli, Don 2) and refuses to treat it like some medical condition.  Dutta and tennis star husband Mahesh Bhupathi are due to deliver this month.

Then there's Shilpa Shetty who's got every reason to stand tall on cloud nine these days. Married to businessman Raj Kundra, the Baazigar beauty is expecting to turn mommy in another few months.

And just like her hush-hush wedding to Dubai-based hotelier, Peter Haag, Celina Jaitly is pregnant with twins due in April this year.

Another beauty pageant winner, Namrata Shirodkar, married to Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, is carrying their second child. Five-year old Gautham Krishna is their firstborn.
