What can be a bigger festival than an Indian wedding? All the more if the concerned bride or groom happens to be a star in question.

If 2011 saw the likes of Imran Khan and Lara Dutta solemnise their relationship, this year too seems all set to witness a handful of star-studded weddings.

Where some have confirmed the news of an imminent ceremony, one cannot dismiss the possibility of the discreet ones following suit.

Here's a sneak peek at some of the expected celebrity weddings of 2012:

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor

The 'It' couple of Bollywood began dating in 2007, soon after Bebo's break-up with Jab We Met co-star Shahid Kapoor.

A lot of people predicted the romance between the two wouldn't last long. But here they are, five years later and tattoo intact, stronger than ever ready to take their relationship to another level.

While the date isn't fixed, both Saif and Kareena are keen on tying the knot this year as soon as they wrap up their professional commitments, including their much-anticipated espionage thriller, Agent Vinod.

Saif was previously married to actress Amrita Singh. They have two children together -- Sara and Ibrahim.

She's chirpy. He's chilled. Together they make Bollywood's most grounded pair.

And yet Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza, the romantic pair of Tujhe Meri Kasam, Masti and soon-to-release Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, denied their togetherness for nine long years only to admit their love to all and sundry around the last leg of 2011.

The visibly in-love duo is now only a couple of weeks away from saying 'I do' in the romantic month of February.

John Abraham and Priya Runchal

Rumour has it John Abraham may have already tied the knot with his investment banker girlfriend Priya Runchal during a secret ceremony in Los Angeles. Till he confirms the same, there's little doubt the Desi Boyz hunk will walk the aisle with his girl sometime this year.

Although the two haven't dated for very long, the actor who was earlier involved with Bipasha Basu for as long as a decade, is ready to give up his singlehood in exchange of a stable relationship.

Isha Sharvani and Zaheer Khan

After going on and off for a while, Luck By Chance star Isha Sharvani and fast bowler Zaheer Khan have decided they want to spend the rest of their lives together.

The two met at a social do six years ago and have stuck it together since. With their respective families' approval, the pair is in the middle of planning a March wedding.

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh

Remember the cute, winning jodi of dance-based reality show, Nach Baliye 3? Television stars Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda are also going to make it official in March this year.

Apparently, Aamir took the Mills & Boon approach and went down on his knees with a sparkling diamond in hand to propose marriage to Sanjeeda, right after she came out of a shot. No prizes for guess what her answer was.

Ram Charan Teja and Upasana Kamineni

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's actor son, Ram Charan Teja is a celebrity in his own right.

Following a lavish engagement ceremony in December last year, the Magadheera star is all set to exchange vows with his fiancee Upasana Kamineni, granddaughter of Dr PC Reddy, founder of Apollo Hospitals.

If the engagement is anything to go by, this may turn out to be one of, if not, the grandest weddings of this year.

Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji

Aditya Chopra doesn't give interviews. Rani Mukerji doesn't discuss her personal life. They may be Bollywood's most private 'alleged' couple. Still, it hasn't stopped the media from speculating about their relationship at every given opportunity.

Recently, the two were clicked outside the airport returning together from a family vacation with the Chopras -- Yash, Pamela and Uday.

From the looks of it, they have got family approval too. We don't see any reason why this Dilwala shouldn't marry his Dulhania as soon as possible.

Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapoor

He may or may not have gifted her a love nest. But there's no doubt UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Bollywood's leading actress Vidya Balan are in a serious relationship.

While everyone's eager to hear shehnais, Lady Balan herself, is in no rush to experience marital bliss. After a spectacular response to her work in The Dirty Picture, the actress is excited about her career more than ever.

But you never know, there's an entire year lying ahead for Kapoor to propose and his gutsy ladylove to make her mind.

Neha Marda and Ayushman Agarwal

Better known as Gehna of Balika Vadhu, a daily soap on Colors channel, the doe-eyed Neha Marda is quite the Indian bahu in real life as well.

The actress is all set to wed Ayushman Agarwal, a Patna-based businessman of her parents' choice and bid adieu to the series that made her a household name. Neha hopes to make a comeback once she is comfortably settled in her new role.
