Bollywood preaches safe sex on World Aids Day

December 1 is dedicated to spreading awareness about World Aids Day. On the occasion, Bollywood stars tweeted to create more awareness. 

Bipasha Basu tweeted: ''Getting to zero'-"Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths". This is the way to be! Unite to fight against HIV! Practice Safe Sex.'

Koena Mitra wrote: 'Its #worldAidsDay today. This year's theme Getting to ZERO !! Kids having kids? Living with aids? Wrap it up #safesex '

Rahul Bose asked people to use precaution while having sex. 'It's World Aids Day. Wear a condom. Today + 364,' he updated.

Sameera Reddy did an AIDS awareness campaign yesterday. 'Just did an Aids Awareness campaign with Big FM! nos of Ppl infected in India solely due to ignorance is scary!' she wrote.
 
While others preached about safe sex, Shabana Azmi and Shruti Haasan shared an animated HIV/AIDS lesson video from TeachAIDS, developed at Stanford University. 

Shabana Azmi tweeted: 'Today is world aids day. Pls watch TEACH AIDS animation for #WorldAIDSDay Piya Sorcar Stanford graduates effort.'

Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture has been getting rave reviews from the film fraternity.

Arbaaz Khan updated: 'Saw a preview of THE DIRTY PICTURE last night. Its outstanding. Loved the film, the performances, the direction,the writing, loved everything. Emraan Hashmi thanked everyone for the praise. 'Thank u everyone for the wishes and praises for The Dirty Picture. Got back after an event at Mithibai. Headed to Dubai for the day,' he tweeted.

After creating buzz with Zara Dil Ko Thaam Lo, the makers of Don 2 have released another track. The song sees the stylish Priyanka Chopra flying through the air in her blue dress with multiple trails whereas Shah Rukh Khan is seen dancing in a black outfit.

Stars pay tribute to Kuldeep Manak

Bollywood celebrities tweeted their tributes for noted Punjabi folk singer Kuldeep Manak who passed away in Ludhiana yesterday after a prolonged illness. 

Hard Kaur tweeted: 'R.I.P Kuldeep Manak. One of da best classic artists of punjab. Had da honour of perf wit him wen I was 7 yrs old. Will miss u sir.'

Akshay Kumar wrote: 'I wish this year would just end! Saddened to know legendary Punjabi singer Kuldeep Manak passed away today. His death will have a huge impact on the Punjabi music industry as his talent inspired a generation of new artists. RIP.'

Pooja Bedi, who accused the host of Bigg Boss 5 Salman Khan of favouring Mahek Chahal in an interview with rediff.com has been receiving a lot of flak from his fans. But the actress says she is equally concerned about him and has been his friend for over 20 years.
