Bollywood wishes Lataji on her birthday

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar will celebrate her 82nd birthday quietly today with her family, and will attend an award function later in the evening.
'Namaskar. Mere janamdin par, mere bhai Hridaynath ke naam se ek Award institute kiya jaa raha hai. Is puraskaar ka naam "Hridaynath Award" rakha gaya hai, aur is puraskaar ko har saal ek aise vyakti ko diya jayega jo apne kshetra mein aloukik kaam karein. Main is baat ki Hridaynath ko bahut badhaai aur aashirwaad deti hoon, ke uske naam se ek Award shuru kiya jaa raha hai. Mujhe is baat ki bahut khushi hai,' she tweeted.

Chandni Bar turns 10

Madhur Bhandarkar's critically acclaimed film Chandni Bar that won four National Awards turned 10 today. On the occasion, Madhur thanked lead actress Tabu and producer R Mohan.
'2day marks 10 yrs of Chandni Bar's release. A spl thx 2 d producer R Mohan. He showed faith in me even after d disaster of Trishakti. In the meantime, we hear Madhur's most ambitious project Heroine will feature Kareena Kapoor in killer outfits. She will be featured in 150 different costumes designed by Manish Malhotra, costing about Rs. 1.3 crore.

Agneepath to challenge Tezz at the box-office

Some reports in media had suggested that the producers of Tezz were negotiating its release with Karan Johar. But the director clarified that he's in no mood to negotiate and his film Agneepath will release on 26th January.
'AGNEEPATH is definitely releasing on the 26th of january...all of us at dharma are super excited!!!' he tweeted.

Navratri festival begins from today, and Celina Jaitly tried to explain it: 'Beloved followers of other nationalities NAVRATRI is a Hindu festival of worship of Shakti and dance & festivities. The word Navaratri literally means nine nights in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi are worshiped. The 10th day is commonly referred to as Vijayadashami or Dussehra,' she tweeted.
Raveena Tandon hopes the festival will bring good tidings. 'Today the beginning of navratri! Hopefully should bring in good tidings for everyone!been not good news this past month.with so many deaths,' she wrote.
Akshay Kumar tweeted his wishes: 'Wishing everyone a Happy Navratri. The grand celebration to commemorate the Goddess of Power - Maa Durga. May the Goddess be with you always, in more forms than one. Jai Mata Di!'
