Shah Rukh Khan and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal were spotted together at the inaugural ceremony of a seven star resort in Kollam in Kerala.

The presence of the two stars -- enjoying a leisurely boat ride -- attracted a huge crowd and the place was soon packed with their fans.

'Visited Kollam Raviz resort in kerala...was so touched by the lov of all the ppl. Awesome resort. Peopel waving to me from a picturesque bridge...truly God's own country...Kerala.' SRK tweeted with the picture.

He was also mighty impressed with Mohanlal's hospitality. 'The great mohanlalji...so much humilty abd grace. Showed me around kollam like an excited child,' he added later.

Amitabh Bachchan is delighted with the Supreme Court's decision of lifting the ban on his film Aarakshan in Uttar Pradesh.

'Supreme Court judgement on 'Aarakshan' historic .. a film passed by the Censor Board cannot be ever banned by anyone ... Prakash Jha you have done great service to Film Industry. Films that get threats of ban, now have SC judgement to strengthen them !!' he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor will be appearing on Bachchan's show Kaun Banega Crorepati to promote their upcoming film Mausam. 'Doing #kbc with @shahidkapoor today! What an auspicious day to start promotions together,' Sonam tweeted.

Designer Manish Malhotra's show marked the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week in style with Kareena Kapoor as the showstopper.

The show had a string of film stars gracing the first rows like Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone, Imran Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Shabana Azmi and Katrina Kaif.

'Manish Malhotra rocked the finale of fashion week!!! Breathtaking garments and kareena in all her splendour definitely made it THE show!!!'  Karan Johar tweeted a picture.

Sonam Kapoor, who couldn't make it to the show, tweeted her wishes. 'best of luck @ManishMalhotra1 and @KallolDatta I admire you both and wish I could have attended your shows,' she wrote.

With thousands of devotees of Lord Krishna celebrating Krishna Janmashtami, Bollywood stars tweeted their wishes.

Mallika Sherawat was among the early birds. 'Happy janmashtmi to all ma tweeps;)' she tweeted.

Preity's godfather passes away

Shandar Amrohi, who was recently in the news for supposedly adopting Preity Zinta as his daughter, passed away in Goa yesterday at the age of 68. The son of noted filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, Shandar had claimed to be Preity's adoptive father.

Upon hearing the news, Preity tweeted: 'May God give peace to Shandarji's soul ! This is for the one who always talked about this journey but never saw it coming.... RIP !'

Preity had supported him in a case he had filed last March against his sister Rukhsar and her son, Waseem, alleging falsification and robbery of share documents concerning to the family property.

'Sad 2 see how family members can hate each other so much even in death! Thank U god 4 my sane family; friends u choose, family ur born into!' she added later.
