It's been around for more than two years now, and the maxi fever in Bollywood is still strong as ever.

Comfort being its keyword, the outfit has found approval from the likes of Angelina Jolie to Ayesha Takia.

Here's a look at the Bollywood babes intent on making the ankle-length dress such an enduring hit:

Kangna Ranaut

The pale-faced star of Fashion looks utterly chic and summer-appropriate in a crisp white number. Good going, Kangna.

Freida Pinto

Busy print, velvet accents, gold baubles, oh-so-meh!

Is this the same Freida Pinto that wowed international media with her sparkling designer delights?

Kareena Kapoor

Looking every bit of a style diva in that drool-worthy black and white silk maxi with minimalistic make-up to go, Bebo is thumbs up all the way. Arm-candy Saif Ali Khan agrees too.

Lara Dutta

In this reunion of former beauty queens -- Sushmita Sen and Queenie Dhody, Ms Dutta opts for a scarf-print maxi teamed with a bulky clutch and floral earrings.

Rani Mukerji

Honestly, we'd take her in a Sabyasachi sari over this any day.

A tad too short for the maxi silhouette, Rani's glamorous persona, nevertheless, works the look to a pass-the-muster extent.

Urvashi Sharma

Soon to be seen in Priyadarshan's Khatta Meetha as Akshay Kumar's college-going sister, there's nothing teenybopper about Urvashi's red carpet appearance in a silky, striped maxi.

Vidya Malvade

The Chak De! India girl looks all set to let her hair down in a floral maxi teamed with bright yellow beads.

Not exactly a trendy move but we'll let have her fun for now.

Sonali Bendre

Slated to return on the jury panel for the second season of Colors' show India's Got Talent, Sonali Bendre walks tall in retro-inspired maxi reaffirming her modeling roots.
