Bollywood congratulates Team India on their historic win!

Twitter is a busy world, and Bollywood contributes a great deal to it. Here's looking at the best star tweets of the day.

With Indian team winning the World Cup after 28 years the wishes and joyous messages started to flood on twitter.

Bipasha Basu tweeted: 'Mahi n our entire team made us so proud!what a historical moment!The excitement was unimaginable!'

Shilpa Shetty couldn't control her tears. 'N History is Made!A timeless moment which will b etched n r minds forevr.Wel dne Team India,tk a bow.U made us cry n made r dream com true:)' she wrote.

Madhuri Dixit also praised the team. 'Strong work Dhoni, Tendulkar and company!! What anawesome match. Both sides played well,' she updated.

Meanwhile, Dia Mirza praised Gary Kirsten. She wrote: 'Gary Kirsten ZINDABAD! Thank you thank you thank you! DHONI!!!! YUVI!!! GAMBHIR!!! OMG! Yes yes yes it's ours! NO.1 ODI TEAM! NO.1 TEST TEAM.'

Sonakshi Sinha too tweeted her excitement: 'We WONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!! :D woooooooo hoooooooo!!!!!'
Preity Zinta wasn't left far behind. 'What a game! All the Boyz in Blue created history by winning the world cup 4 India & bringing tears 2 over a billion eyes! Team India Rocks!' she tweeted.

Whereas Sushmita Sen wrote on twitter after a long gap to express her joy. 'Yipppeeeeee!!!! We are world champions again after 28 yrs:) I can't stop crying..M S DHONI n our men in blue..take a bow!!! I love u guys!!' she wrote.

Even a non-crciket fan like Shruti Hassan was glued to her television. She updated: 'Hell yeahhhh!! That was awesome!!:) even a non cricket fan like me was sucked in!!! Good on india!!!!!!!!!!!!woooohoo!'

Arbaaz Khan, wished well too.  'Congrats India !!! Awesome win :) We are the CHAMPIONS. jai ho !!!' he tweeted.

Arbaaz Khan posted an interesting one liner when India was in vain during the final match, Arbaaz Khan convinced fans not to worry. He tweeted: 'Tension nahi lena, Rajni aur Gajani dono stadium mein hai :)'

After the win, he humoured: 'Just saw a Sri Lankan drinking tea from a plate , he said the Indians took the cup !!! ☺'

Bipasha Basu posted a picture of her India jersey as cheered for the team.  - 'That's my INDIA jersey!But its in mumbai n am in orchha! Thank u @atulkasbekar !Love it!' she tweeted.

Rahul Bose also shared the picture of his jersey. 'Wearing a tshirt newly designed for cricket. What do you think? Will tweet designer's name in a bit. And that's the back...' he wrote.

Joy doubled!

With India's victory, the celebrations for festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Navreh Poshte have been doubled.

Minissha Lamba tweeted: 'Happy Gudi Padwa! What a great weekend of celebration it has been :)'

Marathi boy Riteish Deshmukh also wished on the New Year. 'Happy Gudi Padwa. Happy Ugadi.- prosperous new year guys,' he wrote.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan too wished all his fans.  'Navreh Poshte ! Good wishes on the Kashmiri New year !! Happy Gudi Padva ... good wishes for the new year in Maharashtra and good harvesting ...!! Happy Ugadi ! happy new Year and good wishes for all Kannadigas .. love and happiness always ..' he wrote.

Dia Mirza also wished well. 'Gudi Padwacha Subechcha!!! Happy Ugadi!!! Ee varashu chala santoshamga unnandi ;)' she wrote.

Genelia D'souza, on the other hand, tweeted: 'Gudi padwa hardik subhecha n Ugadi subhakankshallu 2all of tweethearts, hav an awesome day'

As for Abhishek Bachchan, he wished in style. 'aap sabko navreh, ugadi aur gudi padwa ke hardik shubh kamnaey,' he updated.
