Bollywood pays tribute to Bob Christo

Australian actor Bob Christo, who played a baddie in more than 200 Bollywood films, died on Sunday evening from a heart attack.

Abhishek Bachchan tweeted: 'Just heard some really sad news that Bob Christo passed away. Shocked! He was a very sweet and gentle man. Remember spending a lot of time with him as a child on my fathers sets. Great memories of him. R.I.P '

Aftab Shivdasani also expressed his grief. 'Heard the sad news of actor Bob Christo passing away today..one of the few actors from the west who made a mark in hindi cinema..R.I.P.' he tweeted.

Meanwhile, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali tweeted: 'Recd some sad news today. Actor Bob Christo who worked in my dads film Abdullah passed away in Bangalore 2day after a massive heart attack. May his soul RIP. Have too many childhood memories with him.'

RIP Navin Nischol

Bollywood also mourned at the demise of well-known actor Navin Nischol who passed away on Saturday morning after a heart attack.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: 'Sad news ! Navin Nischol passes away ! So sudden and young ! My senior and colleague in several films ! Prayers for his soul !! Navin and some common friends including Dabboo Kapoor driving to Pune for Holi .. has heart attack on road .. passed away ! Shocked.'

Director Kunal Kohli also shared his experience: 'I had some wonderful conversations with Navinji, he'd share stories of his past.I'd be transported to that era with his anecdotes. At the evening of ones life,one just wants to share his experiences.I'm fortunate I spent a few evenings with Navinji just listening to him.'

Shekhar Kapur who is related Navin tweeted: 'Sad news of passing away of actor Navin Nischol, father to my nieces Nomita and Natasha.'

Dia Mirza expressed her grief: 'Actor Navin Nischol played my father in Rehna Hain Tere Dil Mein... Saddened by the news of his demise... RIP'

Madhur Bhandarkar also tweeted his condolences. 'Sad to hear bout th demise of Navin Nischol. Very good actor & a gr8 human being. The industry will miss him. May his soul rest in peace.'

Dia Mirza, on the other hand, has many Parsi friends. 'Navroze Mubarak! Some of my best friends in the world are Parsi. And they truly are the most spirited!' she wrote.

Sonam Kapoor spent her Holi watching the perfect summer flick, The Great Gatsby. 'Watched the great gatsby with my bff shehla last night and had a fun sleep over,literature,cinema clinteastwood and chocolate. Best night ever,' she tweeted.

Bipasha Basu, on the other hand, enjoyed the delicacies. 'Holi is also an excuse fr drunk men misbehaving with women! I hve seen ppl n children ruthlessly attacking elderly ppl n animals with balloons which hurt pretty bad!How cn it be fun?I dnt understand! Happy Holi!Enjoy d festivities 2day bt also b very careful!Colors r not safe n the practice of throwing balloons on strangers is not fun!
