Cancer survivor Lisa Ray unveiled a revolutionary service called Life Cell Femme (a menstrual blood stem cell banking service) in India, on Women's Day at Taj Hotel, Colaba in South Mumbai.

Mumbai's Hard Rock Cafe celebrated Women's Day by staging a rock concert, the funds from which will go towards the empowerment of women.

The funds from the rock concert will be donated to an NGO called Akshara Centre, which has been helping under-privileged girls to get financial support to complete their higher education, for the last 16 years.

Kabir Bedi's son Adam Bedi and actor Aditya Roy Kapoor, who was last seen in Guzaarish, cheered the women at Hard Rock Cafe.

Bbuddah's mahurat

The mahurat of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap took place yesterday at the Khoja bunglow in Versova, a western suburb of Mumbai.

The film has been written and directed by Telugu director Puri Jagannadh. It is produced by Viacom 18 and AB Corp

The director took the first shot on Sonu Sood.

Amitabh wasn't around for the mahurat but daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and son Abhishek made up for it.

Bbuddah also stars Hema Malini, Raveena Tandon Sonal Chauhan and South Indian actress Charmi.

The film will release later this year.

After launching Big CBS Prime, Big CBS has now launched Big CBS Love Channel. The launch was attended by Tannishtha Chatterjee, Shaina NC and Mini Mathur.

The Channel will have programes like Oprah Winfrey's chat show, the latest season of America's Next Top Model and Everybody Loves Raymond.
