Ranbir Kapoor recently took a break from films to give close friend and stylist Aalim a surprise at his Hair Academy in Versova (a western suburb in Mumbai).

Once there, the actor tried his hand at straightening, ironing and blow drying the hair of a student. He later sat down with the students and gave them tips on styling.

Elsewhere in Mumbai, Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma promote their upcoming release, Patiala House. The movie releases this Friday.

Also in Mumbai, ghazal singer Jagjit Singh celebrated his 70th birthday by releasing a compilation CD set of his best work.
