Preity Zinta tweeted, 'Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all my friends on Twitter & all over the world ! Bye Bye 2010 Phew ! Happy to welcome 2011 :-) Ting !'

Meanwhile, Neha Dhupia who is holidaying in Colombia also wished her fans, 'Before there is downpour of new year wishes, let me me one of the first to wish all a happy and healthy 2011! may all ur wishes come true.'

Asha Bhosle supports Javed Akhtar
Singer Asha Bhosle welcomed the government's move to amend the copyright laws. When a fan asked her what she thought of the issue, Bhosle said: 'Court ruling in matter of music copyright is in favour of film producer.'
Javed Akhtar's wife Shabana Azmi stood firmly by the composers as she tweeted: 'All writers,composers,singers n federation of all Cine employees tell producers that since all of us AGREE with Javed Akhtar BAN us too WOW'
She went on to clarify, 'd royalty writers r asking is NOT for within film BUT when songs r used in other mediums so where is d ques of sharing losses'
Mahesh Bhatt also hummed the similar tunes, 'The authors and composers have legitimate demands. They have been shortchanged for years. The need of the hour is to instill trust in them.'
Why Amitabh Bachchan will miss Shweta
The Bachchans are surely dominating twitterland with Amitabh Bachchan leading the way.
But just when all was going well between the Bachchans, daddy's girl Shweta Nanda who last tweeted 24 days ago has decided to take a break from twitter altogether.
Big B explained, 'Yes 'earth to angel', Shweta has gone off twitter and that is a shame ... she writes well and with consummate skill and wit ..'

Lata gets emotional
Queen of melody Lata Mangeshkar got emotional as she spoke of her father Master Dinanath Mangeshkar on his 110th birth anniversary.
She wrote, 'Namaskar,aaj mere pujya pitaji master dinanath mangeshkar ji ka 110 va janam diwas hai,hum sab bhai,beheno'n ko jo suro'n ka vardan mila hai ye unhi ki den hain,meri pujya mataji maai,aur mere baba aaj hamare bich mein nahi hain lekin main un dono ko hamesha apne aas pas mehesus karti hun.'
Mangeshkar added that even to this day she feels her father's presence when she sings. She tweeted: 'main jab bhi gaati hun to mujhe aise lagta hai ki baba mere saamne baithe hai aur mujhe sun rahe hain,'
Karan Johar's New Year resolution
From Koffee to My Name is Khan, Karan Johar surely created quite a buzz this year.
