The Twitter world is quite a busy one, and Bollywood contributes a great deal to it. Here's looking at the best  star tweets of the day.

As Christmas gets closer, everyone appears to be excited about the holidays. After all, there are all those gifts to look forward to!

Lara Dutta tweeted, 'Early morning start! 3 meetings already done! Trying to finish wrk to go home to my parents for X'mas!! Wonderful feeling! Home & Family!'

Minissha Lamba is wondering about her Christmas wishes. 'Good morning tweeple.. Was thinkin of a wish this Christmas n was wondering what was urs :)?'

Emraan Hashmi, on the other hand is killing two birds with one stone! He tweeted, 'It's christmas time.. Celebrating X-Mas with 'Aaj Tak'.. After all, DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI :) '

Neha Dhupia tweeted of her plans, 'At the airport, Off to colombia!Many flights before I get to the other side but m super excited bout my holiday. Seasons greetings to all ! My plane has nt even taken off and I am already home sick... Sometimes I can be such an emotional fool!'

Crying over onions!

With the prices of onions skyrocketing to as much as Rs 100 per kg, the aam-janta is terrorised and Bollywood is not far behind!

Dia Mirza tweeted, 'BTW onions causing tears even before we peel them now :('

Director Farah Khan couldn't believe the news as she tweeted, 'Unbelievable!!onions r 100 bucks a kg!'

And Gul Panag questioned it rightly so, "And what good is a UNSC permanent seat when we can't feed our hungry, ensure safety for women? Or even a fair price for onions :p'

Konkana Sen Sharma, on the other hand, loved Pritish Nandy's tweet and retweeted it with laughs: 'Lol RT @PritishNandy: With onions touching Rs 100 a kig and garlic Rs 400, kissing in Mumbai becomes an easier, friendlier, nicer experience,' she tweeted.

Amitabh Bachchan remembers his mother Teji Bachchan on her death anniversary today: 'Today my Mother's death anniversary ... in prayer thought and silence ... and in myriad memories of the best Mother in the world !!'

Abhishek Bachchan echoed the same sentiments: 'Spent the morning thinking of my grandmother. Miss her very much. Today is her 3rd death anniversary. The worlds greatest bedtime storyteller. Grandparents are the greatest teachers of life. Have been very lucky to have known all 4 of my grandparents. Wish I could roll back time and be with all of them again.'

Also celebrating much love and friendship is Preity Zinta who tweeted, 'Just landed in Goa with Srk & Surily 4 Hrithik & Sussanne's 10th anniv. Awww ! On the other hand, Farah Khan is dealing with goodbyes and melodrama. While Bipasha Basu is going to miss her crew of Singularity and the Gold Coast. 'Oh my god,I have to say bye to my cast n crew of Singularity soon! 2 more days thts it! Will miss all:(', she tweeted with this picture.
