Madhuri Dixit has been appointed brand ambassador for a fund-raising project that will aid the conservation of Asian elephants and tigers.

Gemfields, a Zambia-based emerald mining company, has collaborated with the World Land Trust and the Wildlife Trust of India to launch the Emeralds for Elephants project.
