Aamir Khan's son Azad turns 1

It was on December 5 last year when Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao officially announced the arrival of their bundle of joy Azad Rao Khan, a baby boy born through a surrogate mother.

Born on December 1, baby Azad has spent most of his time away from the media glare.

We caught a glimpse of the star son in August, when he was being taken to Chicago so that he could keep his superstar dad company as he filmed Dhoom 3.

The little baby made friends with another star child -- Abhishek and Aishwarya's daughter Aaradhya -- on the sets of the film.

The proud parents have named their son after Khan's great grand uncle and freedom fighter Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
