The Shuddh Desi Romance actress stole the show from Alia Bhatt on Koffee With Karan.

Parineeti Chopra is a livewire on screen.

And after her recent appearance on Koffee With Karan, it isn't hard to see that all of that celluloid sass comes from within.

Making a joint appearance with a contemporary -- Alia Bhatt -- who is five years younger than her and two films old, as opposed to her four-film-old filmography and yet has a bigger sense of entitlement between the two, Parineeti's vivacity made everything else recede in the background.

Parineeti was candid, unassuming and all-round sweet about everything (except for the time she traded juicy gossip regarding a brewing romance between Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor with Bhatt).

Parineeti revealed some interesting things on the show. Take a look!

From celebrity manager to celebrity

Parineeti was a celebrity manager for Yash Raj Films before she started out as an actress.

She once worked as a 'temporary' manager for Rani Mukerji and accompanied her to the sets of Bigg Boss for a film's promotion.

When Rani asked her why she didn't become an actress since her cousin Priyanka Chopra was already a star, Pari said she wasn't interested.

A few days later, she was called to Yash Raj casting director Shanoo Sharma's home, where she was asked to enact the train scene from Jab We Met.

She didn't think much of the screen test, but got a call a few weeks later from director Maneesh Sharma, who told her that she was being signed for a three-film deal with YRF.

Incidentally, KJo mentioned, he had made Alia Bhatt enact the same Jab We Met scene for her Student of the Year audition.

Star-struck star

Even though she is an A-lister's cousin, Parineeti is yet to get used to her rising stardom.

She still has star-struck moments, she revealed during the show.

'Priyanka and I are close, but I wasn't around when she was becoming this big celebrity.'

'So the fact that people know of me, and that Amitabh Bachchan once sent me a handwritten note with a bouquet, I still find these things a little strange,' she said.

She said she was overjoyed to receive a text from KJo while shooting for her second film Ishaqzaade in Lucknow.

'Welcome to the film industry,' KJo's text read.

The Chopra clan -- including the unmarried girls in the family -- celebrate Karwa Chauth with great gusto.

One time, while in Mumbai, the Chopra star sisters joined their cousins for the ritual.

'The dedication with which Parineeti was offering water to the stars (unmarried girls pray to the stars and not the moon on Karwa Chauth), I knew instantly that she had it in her to become a quintessential Bollywood heroine,' Priyanka Chopra (Parineeti's 'Missididi'), who made a brief appearance on the show, said about her younger-by-six-years cousin.

So who are the men Parineeti has the hots for?

Saif Ali Khan!

Parineeti professed unconditional love for the Nawab of Pataudi and declared he is the best actor and hottest star in Bollywood. By the way, did you notice that director Zoya Akhtar was equally gung-ho about Saif on KWK two weeks ago.

While she repeatedly brought up Shuddh Desi Romance director Maneesh Sharma's name in her conversation, Parineeti consistently denied ever having dated Maneesh.

He's her 4 am friend, Parineeti said.

When KJo asked if she called him at four in the morning, the actress replied, 'I meet him at 4 am.'
