With quite a few characters joining the cast, it would be interesting to see how the story unravels in season two, notes Namrata Thakker.

The highly anticipated trailer of Mirzapur 2 is out and there's definitely a lot of action in store for us including some new plot twists and characters.

After killing off two important characters in season one, the makers of Mirzapur ended the show on a high, leaving us wanting more.

Now, season two is here and going by the trailer, it seems we are all in for a thrilling ride.

The first season ended with Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu Sharma) killing off Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey) and Sweety Gupta (Shriya Pilgaonkar) at a wedding. Now, Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal) wants revenge.

The trailer starts off with some heavy duty dialogues and then we get to see Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) and his son Munna doing what they do best -- rule Mirzapur.

With Bablu dead and Guddu nowhere in the scene, the father-son duo have laid down some new rules. They are unaware of the fact that Guddu is back and here to stay.

But Guddu isn't the only one wanting to avenge the death of his loved ones.

Sweety's sister and Bablu's girlfriend Golu Gupta (Shweta Tripathi) is equally determined to rule Mirzapur.

Together, Guddu and Golu want to take back Mirzapur from Kaleen Bhaiya and Munna.

It's not going to be easy as there's someone else also eyeing Mirzapur. That's Rati Shankar's son Sharad (Anjum Shukla).

Remember how Guddu shot Rati Shankar in season one? Well, his son wants revenge now and is ready to get his hands dirty.

That's not all.

It seems in season 2, Guddu Pandit is going to have one too many enemies to handle.

Apart from Munna Bhaiya and Sharad, Vijay Verma's character will also lock horns with Guddu. At least that's what the trailer suggests.

We say so because there’s a scene wherein Munna is seen hanging out with Sharad and Vijay's character.

The second season has now extended to Bihar and with that, we have a new villain named Dadda Tyagi (Lilliput) here. Vijay plays his grandson.

With quite a few characters joining the cast, it would be interesting to see how the story unravels in season two.

The action this time is more intense and the last 30 seconds of the trailer make that very clear.

Mirzapur 2 starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video from October 23.
