Director V N Aditya -- who made interesting love stories like Manasantha Nuvve and Nennunanu -- belies high expectations by dishing out a clichéd love story. He worked hard on some dramatic moments between lovers, but split them apart unrealistically, derailing the promising and lively first part.
He sets up a youth festival to trigger the love between protagonists. Initial quarrels, expressing love for each other, then separation before he wins a few matches to win her back -- all of this happens in just 15 days, making it one of the season's most contrived films.
Navdeep and Ankitha impress in light-hearted scenes, but fall short in emotional ones. The director should understand that he can hold interest by weaving a screenplay around a credible plot, and not just a few student pranks. Composer Kalyan Mallick belts out hummable numbers, and the title track stands apart.
Director V N Aditya, after making the star-centric Nenunnanu chose to make a youthful love story, but the change could dent his winning streak since his plot is uninspiring. He shows his grip in a few touching romantic moments, but on the whole falls flat. Let us hope the promising filmmaker discovers a novel plot for his next.

Amisha Patel breaks family ties
Pretty Ankitha is now a sought after glamour-girl after hits like Lahiri Lahiri and Simhadri, and has starred opposite stars like Balakrishna. Unfortunately, here she's chosen a poorly defined role -- the reason for her hating her lover and then re-uniting with him in the end is quite unrealistic.
Upcoming actor Navdeep, who began his career with a dud like Jai, should have waited for a better script. However, he proves his comic timing and dancing abilities, and can easily fit into lover-boy roles. But his performance in emotional scenes is pathetic.
Actor Nagababu, brother of Chiranjeevi, holds his ground as a strict sports tutor while Bharani, as the hero's father, impresses. Comedian D Subramanyam and a gang of students evoke few laughs.
Composer Kalyan Mallick tries to come up with different tunes for routine situations. The Na na nee nee number is soothing, while the other numbers have repeat value, heralding the arrival of another talented composer. 
Producer Pulla Rao of Pratyusha Creations has spent lavishly despite the plot being a simple love story. It seems their confidence in V N Aditya is misplaced as he fails to give them a winner.
Navdeep is a spoilt brat, mostly at loggerheads with his parents. He spends time with his college mates. One day he sees Ankitha and it's love at first sight. She keeps recurring in his dreams. He happens to see her in Vizag, and manages to join the team visiting Vizag to participate in a youth festival. His friends ask him to propose his love before the 15-day festival ends. Initially, his pranks irritate Ankitha but he slowly wins her love.
He happens to meet his childhood friend at the festival who beats him in the cycling championship. The friend gifts the prize to Navdeep and they spend time together. Navdeep is shocked to know his friend is also in love with Ankitha and Navdeep decides to distance himself from her. But the friend turns a foe when he comes to know that Ankitha is in love with Navdeep. He challenges Navdeep for a hockey match. High drama follows.
