Friends advised Boney Kapoor against letting his daughter, Janhvi, play a double role so early in her career, especially since she could be compared to her mother Sridevi’s iconic double act in Chaalbaaz.

But Janhvi feels she is up to the task.

And so, Rooh-Afza... where one of the two characters Janhvi is playing is that of a ghost.

A source tells Subhash K Jha, "Her mother and uncle (Anil Kapoor) have done double roles in Chaalbaaz and Kishen Kanhaiya respectively. But Janhvi is not going to model her performance on her mother. She will do her own thing."

Apparently, the two characters would be fun versions of Sadhana in Woh Kaun Thi. In that unforgettable film, the actress' double role included one as a ghost.

Dimple Kapadia, who played a ghost in Gulzar’s Lekin, never blinked on camera during the film’s shooting.

A ghost never blinks, Dimple had said sagely then.

Is Janhvi listening?
