White, School Bus, James & Alice: Big Malayalam movies coming up

Which Malayalam  film are *YOU* are looking forward to?

Quite Malayalam films are up for release this May.

With few big hits in the first four months of 2016 already, the mood is upbeat and the industry hopes that the tempo continues during the coming days.

Here is a look at the big releases in May:

 

White
Director: Uday Ananthan

White

Mammootty plays a London-based businessman named Prakash Roy in Pranayakalam director Uday Ananthan’s White.

It’s said to be a romantic tale with Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi playing his heroine.

Jyoti Deshpande is the producer. Amarjeet Singh is the cinematographer.

 

James & Alice
Director: Sujith Vaassudev

James & Alice

Ace cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev turns director for James & Alice, starring Prithviraj and Vedhika.

Dr S Janardhanan is the scenarist.

Dharmik Films is the production banner.

Vaassudev handles the camera as well.


Kammattipaadam
Director: Rajeev Ravi

Kammattipaadam

After Annayum Rasoolum and Njan Steve Lopez, Rajeev Ravi directs a period drama called Kammattipaadam.

Dulquer Salmaan's salt and pepper avatar in the film has been well-received.

Prem Menon is the producer and Madhu Neelakantan is the cinematographer.

 

Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti
Director: Rishi Sivakumar

Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti

Kunchacko Boban plays the lead in Rishi Sivakumar’s Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti.

The heroine is Shamli, who was much loved as a child artiste in Malayalam cinema.

Faizal Latheef is the producer and Kunjunni S Kumar is the cinematographer.

 

School Bus
Director: Rosshan Andrrews

School Bus

Two kids -- Aakash Muraleedharan and Anjelleena Rosshan -- play the lead in Rosshan Andrrews’ School Bus.

The script is by Bobby and Sanjay.

Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya and Aparna Gopinath include the main cast.

A V Anoop is the producer while C K Muraleedharan wields the camera.

Director: Vipin Das

Mudhugauv

Suresh Gopi’s son Gokul will be launched as hero in Mudhugauv.

Arthana plays the heroine in this romantic comedy.

Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas are the producers. Kugan S Palani is the cinematographer.
