It's a new month, and it promises its fair share of entertainment on the OTT platform!

Joginder Tuteja lists the new releases, coming up in April.

 

The Big Bull
Where to watch: Disney + Hotstar
Release date: April 8

One wonders how Director Kookie Gulati will handle the 'scam' that Hansal Mehta brought alive on screen so well with Scam: 1992.

Abhishek Bachchan looks good in the trailer.

Interestingly, Ajay Devgn backs this film.

The film was among the first to be announced for an OTT release last year, and it's the right decision at a time when the theatrical business is uncertain.

 

Hello Charlie

Release date: April 9

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are known to make quirky content.

With Hello Charlie, they seem to be taking it to the next level, as Jackie Shroff will be seen in a 'gorilla avatar' no less!

Aadar Jain returns on the big screen after making his debut with Yash Raj Films' Qaidi Band in 2017.

Hello Charlie is set to be a light-hearted prelude to Farhan's hard-hitting Toofan, which will be Excel Entertainment's next release on the OTT platform.

Anthologies make for a great watch.

Netflix is promising four intriguing tales as a part of Ajeeb Dastaans.

Shashank Khaitan, Neeraj Ghaywan, Kayoze Irani and Raj Mehta call the shots for Konkona Sen Sharma, Shefali Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari, Abhishek Banerjee, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Inayat Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Armaan Ralhan and Manav Kaul, and the set up looks really exciting.

 

Raat Baaki Hai

Avinash Das returns as director after making the Web series She and the feature film Anaarkali of Aarah

Raat Baaki Hai is a suspense thriller starring Anup Soni, Paoli Dam, Rahul Dev, Dippanita Sharma and Sameer Malhotra.

 

Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu
Where to watch: ALT Balaji and ZEE5
Release date: April 25

ALT Balaji and ZEE5 bring the first season of the Web series Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu, which features Parth Samthaan in the lead role.

Parth plays a gangster-cum-hero in this show which has a Mumbai setting.

Patralekhaa plays the female lead.

 

Kathmandu Connection

Release date: April

Sony LIV adds to its dramatic thrillers with Kathmandu Connection.

Based on the terrorism that hocked the nation in the early 1990s, this one is about the aftermath of what really happened, and a lot of the action was connected to Kathmandu.

Directed by Sachin Pathak (Rangbaaz Phirse) fame, the Web series stars Amit Sial, Gopal Datt and Aksha Pardasany.
