"I am a very bad cook so I definitely won't be putting on weight!" Adah Sharma exclaims with a laugh.

The Commando actress is enjoying this time during lockdown with her mother even as she posts videos on Instagram about the kind of housework she's doing.

"Keeping the house clean is a full time job!" she tells Ronjita Kulkarni/ Rediff.com .

How are you spending this time during lockdown?

It's like any other day, but I have more time now.

I play the piano anyway, but I'm playing more now.

We usually have a help at home, but she is not there now, so my mother and I have to do all the work and that takes up the whole day.

We have to wash the vessels, cook, then wash again... keeping the house clean is a full time job!

I don't like cooking. It's very stressful.

But I have to cook now because I like eating.

I am a very bad cook so I definitely won't be putting on weight!

I don't watch TV much.

Are you missing the gym?

I never went to a gym anyway... I mean I did go for sometime, but that's not the main way that I work out.

I have trained myself to work out in a space of three tiles.

When you are shooting in a small town somewhere, you may not be comfortable to go out and train outside in public. So I have trained myself to work out in a small room.

I do my hand set, I hang upside down from my bed and do my crunches, push ups...

So I can manage anywhere.

Thankfully, I have a terrace, so I train there.

I do my silambam, mudgal...

I like promoting Indian art forms of action like kalaripayattu, malkum, mudgal... there's so much.

What projects were you working on before the lockdown?

I just completed a film called Man To Man, where I play a man.

It's about this guy who falls in love with a woman and they get married.

Then he learns that his wife is biologically, a man.

I had done this Web series called The Holiday. We were going to start shooting the second season.

There were some other projects too.

Everything will work out, we just don't know when.

What worries you?

I am fortunate to have a house.

But I worry about the daily wage earners from the film industry.

Your film Commando 3 with Vidyut Jammwal will premiere on April 26 on Zee Cinema. What is the best thing about being a part of the Commando franchise?

It feels great that a girl is a part of an action franchise. Usually, the girl is always a damsel in distress but here, I got to beat up a few boys too!

I got to do some stunts on my own and my character is a hero too.

There aren't many action franchises being made, so it's nice to be a part of one.

Vidyut keeps me on my toes because I feel that if he can do it, I should be able to do it too.

How tough is it to be an actress in Bollywood?

If you are not from the film industry, you will not get 25 chances.

You have to make it in your first film.

When I got 1920, I knew I had to be so good that people don't feel like it is my first movie.

You need to work so hard on your skill set that when you get the opportunity, you should be ready for it.

You have to make your skill set so good that nobody else can touch it.

Like when they were casting for an action film like Commando, I trained myself so well in action that no one else in India could do it as well.

So when they were looking for an action girl, I wanted my name to be right on top.

Since people like me have made it in the industry, it shows that it is possible.
