Bigg Boss 3 winner Vindu Dara Singh visited the reality show in its recent 14th season, to spice up the proceedings.

After Rubina Dilaik picked up the trophy, Vindu looks back at the season and tells Subhash K Jha, "It looked like the contestants of this season didn't really have strong personalities to show to the world. Eventually, the season picked up pace and the ones who were the strongest from the start were Rubina, Eijaz, Jasmin, Rahul and Nikki."

Are you a Bigg Boss fan?

I do not watch television shows, but every year, my family and I eagerly wait for Bigg Boss to begin.

We don't miss an episode!

This year, the season was filled with twists and surprises and was flagged off by brilliant contestants from the previous seasons, Sidharth Shukla, Gauahar Khan and Hina Khan.

Do you think they helped create an initial interest?

With the energy and experience they brought in, the show started off with a bang.

But it was short-lived and it looked like the contestants of this season didn't really have strong personalities to show to the world.

Eventually, the season picked up pace and the ones who were the strongest from the start were Rubina, Eijaz, Jasmin, Rahul and Nikki.

Nikki had to go an extra mile as the others were known faces.

How would you rate Bigg Boss 14?

With lots of ups and downs, more lows of course.

With the addition of challengers like Rakhi Sawant and many more, it became a better show with perfect doses of drama, packed in 90 minutes every single day.

The supporters week, close to the finale week which had me and some others, not only helped give them a boost of energy but also accelerated the pace a little more.

What did you think of Rubina Dilaik's win?

Rubina's graph in this season has been amazing.

From someone we expected to be very docile, we saw a person who was very strong and opinionated.

People felt it was an unfair advantage to have her spouse, Abhinav Shukla, in the house with her, but since I have lived in the house myself, I can tell you it is not easy.

Support helps, yes, but to a large extent, the only thing that can catapult you to the finale is your grit and attitude.

The house can really test your patience?

Absolutely! Rubina's journey did begin with her partner in the show, but she left a mark and came across as a strong individual, who did what she wanted.

It had become clear who would eventually be in the finale in the fourth or fifth week.

I had a strong feeling that Rubina will win, and we all now know, it's true.

Rubina has been unapologetically herself and definitely a well-deserved winner.
