Dil Chahta Hai released in 2001, and it turned out to be lucky for the couple. Not only did Farhan taste success with his directorial debut but it was also Adhuna's first film as a hairstylist.

On Adhuna's 40th birthday in March 2007, the B-town hunk gifted his wife a diamond ring because when the couple got married, Farhan couldn't afford to buy a ring for his lady love.
