Sushant confirms split from Ankita Lokhande

Sushant Singh Rajput has confirmed that he has parted ways from his longtime girlfriend Ankita Lokhande.

The Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! star, 30, who was dating Ankita since their stint on daily soap Pavitra Rishta, called the break-up 'unfortunate'.

'Neither she was an alcoholic nor I am a womaniser. People do grow apart and it's unfortunate. Period,' he posted on Twitter.

What matters in life is not what happens to you but what you remember and how you remember it,' he added.

After dating for close to six years, Sushant and Ankita were apparently planning to tie the knot in December 2016.

But rumours of trouble in their relationship started to surface, especially when Ankita tweeted some pictures recently

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to skip amfAR Gala for Sarbjit

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will not attend the glamorous charity event amfAR this year as she will be occupied with the promotions of her upcoming film Sarbjit.

The amfAR Gala at the Cannes International Film Festival is scheduled for May 19. The biopic on the Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh which stars Ash, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha is releasing on May 20.

'Keeping this in mind, Aishwarya will be returning from Cannes immediately after her red carpet appearances to promote the movie and fulfill other professional commitments,' the release states.

Aishwarya, 42, would be attending the event on May 13 and 14 and her this year's appearance at Festival De Cannes will mark her 15th year at the fest.
