Mammootty gears up for his Eid release

A scene from Kadal Kadannu Oru MathukkuttyWriter-director Ranjith teams up with Mammootty in Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukkutty, which hits the screens today (August 8).

The film is this year’s first Eid release and will be followed by Jeethu Joseph’s Memories, Sameer Thahir’s Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi and Lal Jose’s Pullippulikalum Aattinkuttiyum.

Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukkutty has Mammootty playing an Indian living abroad. He is married to a nurse and lives in Germany, but has been unemployed for more than a year. He then comes to Kerala to organise a star show.

Among

the Malayalam film stars that Mathukkutty meets in Kerala are Mammootty himself, Mohanlal, Jayaram and Dileep. The film’s cast includes Nedumudi Venu, Balachandra Menon, Nandu, Muthumani, Siddique, Suresh Krishna and Shekhar Menon.

Produced under the banner of August Cinemas, Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukkutty has cinematography by Madhu Neelakantan and music by Shahabaz Aman.

Prithviraj, who is one of the producers of the film, is the hero of Memories, releasing tomorrow. Incidentally, Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan will be seen in action as a biker on a trip to Nagaland in Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, releasing on Saturday.
