Celebrating 100 days of Jackie

Actor Puneet Rajkumar's home banner Vajreshwari Combines held a mega event recently to celebrate the 100-day run of the Kannada film Jackie.

The production house has so far made 78 films and each of them have completed a minimum of 50 days.

Producer Raghavendra Rajkumar took this opportunity to thank his team for their efforts. Actors, technicians, makeup artistes, costume designers, music director, singers, caterers, spot boys, drivers, distributors, theatre owners, fight masters, stuntmen and dubbing artistes were honoured on the occasion.

Industry bigwigs like Upendra, Ramesh Arvind, Srinara Kitty, Yogesh, Vijay, Yograj Bhat, Shrikanth, Sreenath, Ramkumar, Rockline Venkatesh, Komal, Jageesh, Jayanthi, Prem, Vijay Raghavendra, Bullet Prakash, Rangayana Raghu, Sanjana and Murli were among those spotted at the event.

Speaking at the event, Jagessh said, "From watching Rajkumar in theatres to participating in functions organised by his production house, I have come a long way. I am a great fan of both Rajkumar and Rajanikanth. The day I got a picture clicked with both of them was my best day. After that, today is a memorable day as I have come to honour the people who have worked for his production house."

As part of the event, Shivarajkumar was also felicitated for completing 25 years in cinema. Incidentally, he and his wife are celebrating 25 years of marriage. The actor became emotional while remembering his father (veteran actor Rajkumar) on the occasion. His entire family was present to congratulate him. 

Director Baragur recalled the contributions of Rajkumar while felicitating the Jackie team. He said that he was not just a great actor but a singer too. "More than anything he was a good human being and his humbleness is seen even in his children," he said.

Actors Vijay lauded Puneet for his stunts and said that he had learnt a lot by watching Puneet's stunts on screen. The actor came with his son to wish director Suri with whom he has also given hits.

Director Suri also became emotional at the event but later recouped and went on to announce his next project with Puneet titled Anna Bond.

Actor Srinagara Kitty who is part of Vajreshwari Combines next venture Hudugaru, a multi starrer, came by to wish the Jackie team. Kitty has also worked with Suri in Inti Ninna Preetiya.

Puneet's wife Ashwini was there along with her family and friends to congratulate her hubby and his team. The couple's daughters were there to share daddy dearest's success too. 

Film's leading ladies Bhavana and Harshika were also present at the event. An excited Bhavana thanked the people of Karnataka for accepting her and said that she couldn't have asked for a better debut in Kannada. She also expressed her desire to be a part of more Kannada films.

The show ended with Shivanna and Puneet shaking a leg to the title track of Jackie. Shivanna even sang a song from one of his popular films.
