New trailer of Agneepath

If we go by the reponse that Agneepath's new trailer is getting, it's one firebrand of a peek into the film.

A close up of Hrithik Roshan's tense facial muscles sets the tone of the explosive and fast-paced clip that takes us through central characters, glimpses of high-on-adrenaline sequences and ominous voiceovers from the villians -- Kancha Cheena and Rauf Lala played by Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor respectively.

"The villain of the film is big because the achievement of the hero gets bigger in conquering him," says director Karan Malhotra. "To assume Kancha's character is bigger and Vijay's is weak or vice-versa would be inappropriate because when you will see the film, you will realise that the bigger the villain, the bigger the hero."

Producer Karan Johar added: "The portrayal of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan is completely different from Amiti's (Amitabh
Bachchan
) portrayal. Here, the character is an underdog. Also, it is important to understand that the character is being played by a younger boy. Vijay Dinanath Chauhan was portrayed by Amitji at a certain age in the film. So when an underdog uplifts and rises against this large, big and scary villain, that's when you feel the triumph of the hero spirit."

When asked if he felt overshadowed by Sanjay's presence in the film, Hrithik Roshan answered: "Look at his size. I think anyone, be it me or anyone, will get overshadowed. It's not possible to not get overshadowed by Sanjay's presence!"

The film will release on January 26.
