Want to act in a Kannada film? Girls, here's your chance!

An all-women crew is getting together to bring out a Kannada movie called Ring Road Shuba and for all those young girls looking to make their dreams come true, here is your chance.

The team is hunting for new faces and in this bid, will reach out to aspiring actors. "Girls in the age group of 17-23 years may send their recent photos to the director, Priya Belliappa. They will be required to send four pictures," says a member in the team.

Nine girls will be shortlisted thereafter. Once selected, they will be groomed by Asha Chandra, who has trained the likes of Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna and Kangna Ranaut. After undergoing the training, contestants will be asked to give their screen tests that will be aired on television.

"People of Karnataka will then get to cast their vote for a particular contestant depending on her looks and acting skills," adds the member.

Established actors like Pooja Gandhi and Deepa Sanidhi may also be roped in to play crucial roles in the film.

Director Priya Belliappa has written the story as well. The dialogues have been penned by Rekha Rani.

Maulshri Singh, who has worked as an assistant cameraman in Dhobi Ghat, is the cinematographer. Sanchari Das Mollick is the editor. Makeup is by Charu and Bharati Chabria is the costume designer. Apoorva is the art director and Vani Harikrishna is the music director.

Producer Ranjini Ravindra Das is now on the look out for a woman PRO as well.

Ring Road Shuba is based on a murder case that shocked Bangalore in the year 2003. Girish, an Intel employee was murdered on Ring Road near Koramangala while he was dining with his fiance, Shuba. Later Shuba, her boyfriend and two others were arrested on murder charges. After proven guilty, the accused were awarded life sentences.

Another Kannada film, 11-11-11, is also being made with this case as its basis.
