Actress Richa Chadda, on the other hand, was shooting for Bad with Randeep Hooda. ‘A very fruitful shoot day has ended...n just struck me its a Sunday! When work is play, you don't mind!@BADthefilm #BAD #lovemyjob’ she wrote.

Pooja Bhatt: Udaipur SP manhandled my unit and got abusive

Filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, who is currently shooting Bad in Udaipur with Richa Chaddha and Randeep Hooda, accused an SP (Superintendent of Police) of manhandling her unit and stalling the shooting.

‘Horrific day in Udaipur today. The SP of Udaipur,Hariprasad Sharma barged onto our set, manhandled my unit and got extremely abusive. Why did the SP Udaipur behave in such an obnoxious manner? Because he was asked to wait for precisely 5 mins while we canned a shot. I went straight to the Collector who called the SP in & asked him to render an apology since I had permission to film on a public holiday,’ she tweeted.

‘Met with the IG & Divisional commissioner to express my outrage at the SP's appalling behavior at the Udaipur collectorate this evening. Both gentlemen shared my mortification with regards to the SP's behavior. I shall be sending both of them a detailed letter of complaint. Nobody is above the law in India. Not an SP,not even the prime minister. Power drunk officials need to be treated on par as criminals,’ she added.

‘2 hrs after the fiasco with the Udaipur SP we were back at the same spot & resumed our shoot. So much for power drunk officials & their egos. For every BAD cop there is a GOOD cop! I thank the Udaipur SP's seniors for standing by the truth & reinstating my faith in the system. But what is imperative is that we stand up to brute force administered by the system. The police is meant to protect us, not intimidate us,’ she continued.

‘Generally when a film shoot is interrupted by callous officials most production houses let the issue slide because they fear economic loss. In my case it was the opposite. My conscience did not permit me to let this incident slide and that is not something the SP anticipated. Economics do not hold a candle to the morale of my unit. My light boys, spot boys etc are my backbone, my spine. This is a moral stand. My unit gave me a thumbs up & assured me they were all set to complete the schedule with even more gusto and that is what we are now doing,’ she signed off.

The film is a crime thriller based on the life and crimes of serial killer Charles Sobhraj.
