Bollywood stars turned to Twitter to wish their friends and fans, on the occasion of festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Cheti Chand and Navreh. Here is what they had to say:

Akshay Kumar, who is currently shooting for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again, was surprised by his fans from Sholapur, who paid him a surprise visit.

He shared a picture (above) and tweeted: '13Had a surprise visit from some fans from Sholapur on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. These chance meetings always serve as subtle reminders about how lucky I am to be loved so much. Wishing them & u all, a Happy Gudi Padwa!'

Chitrangda Singh, who recently shot at a stable, shared a picture of herself from the sets.

'Day at the stables ..thoda zyadaa overdressed !!' she tweeted with the picture (above). 

The Inkaar actress also rode a horse. She shared another picture and added: 'And this was a friskyyy one .. Were losing light for the shot ..so had to be brave.' 

Meanwhile, Bipasha Basu, who is currently vacationing in the US shared a picture of herself and wrote: 'Quality time with my best friend Suzie's lil babies!Ishaan n Ayaan!' 

Limca Book honours Prabhu Deva, Shabana Azmi

Celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema, Limca Book of Records honoured actress Shabana Azmi, cinematographer Santosh Sivan, actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva, Assamese director Jahnu Barua, filmmaker Mike Pandey and film editor Sreekar Prasad on Wednesday.

Prabhu Deva shared a picture of them together and tweeted: 'I would like to thank the Limca Book of Records for honoring me with the People of the year'13 award.'

The honours were given away by Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari.
