Shah Rukh Khan celebrated with his family. 'No greater pleasure than to bring in the year with soccer on the beach with my kids till 5 am. Now in a state of Exhausted Happiness,' he tweeted.

Arjun Rampal visited the Golden Temple. 'In Amritsar, going to the Golden Temple,will pray for everyone. All be safe,have a blast,bring in the New year with the best attitude. Love,' he wrote.

Goldie Behl celebrated it with wife Sonali Bendre, who turned 38 yesterday, and thanked her fans: 'Thank you everyone for ur warm wishes to Sonali on her b'day I will pass them all on and happy new year to all !'

Filmmaker Mira Nair is planning to re-release her Oscar-nominated film Salaam Bombay! to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

'salaam bombay! to be re-released across indian screens in march 2013, celebrating its 25th year anniversary...yay!' she updated.

The film chronicles the day-to-day life of children living on the streets of Mumbai.
