Housefull 2 has been Akshay's most successful comedy yet.
Also starring John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez, the film was directed by Sajid Khan.
The film marked Akshay's entry into the 100 crore club.

Akshay Kumar paired up with Anees Bazmee for Singh Is Kinng.

The film took a huge opening. It was the biggest success for producer Vipul Shah till Holiday.

Welcome (2007)
Akshay Kumar underplayed his part well, as the foil to the loud Anil Kapoor. Nana Patekar did what he is best at.
With Katrina Kaif on his side, Akshay won hearts with this out and out comedy.
Incidentally, this film had a much bigger opening and lifetime collections than Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par, which released on the same date.

Khiladi 786 (2012)
In recent times, the only khiladi film of Akshay Kumar to have been conceptualized is Khiladi 786.
The franchise usually focuses on high octane action, but this Khiladi flick had comedy running right through the narrative.
The reviews were mixed but controlled costs ensured that the film sailed through.
The film's songs were quite popular and are still played.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007)
Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi was a horror-drama. Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan turned it into a comedy.
There were a few intense moments, courtesy Vidya Balan, but by and large it is the fun elements that are remembered.
Riding on the power of Pritam's chartbuster song Hare Krishna Hare Raam, the film was a success.

Such was the cult following of Hera Pheri that the moment its sequel was announced, there was a ready audience waiting to lap it up.
Despite Priyadarshan missing from action and Neeraj Vora taking over as director, the film opened well.
That ensured it would be a success, though the content was inferior to the first film.

Akshay clearly enjoyed his part in Garam Masala. John Abraham and three heroines upped the ante for this quick-fire comedy by Priyadarshan.
The film clearly beat Salman Khan's Kyon Ki -- also directed by Priyadarshan -- which released on the same day and was a major flop.

Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan came together for Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, a sure recipe for success.
Priyanka Chopra added to the attraction.
Sajid Nadiadwala spared no expense and David Dhawan directed with panache.
The music was of the chartbuster variety, and the film had ‘hit’ written all over it.
