Akshay Kumar, Shruti Haasan start shooting for Gabbar

Akshay Kumar has started shooting for his new film Gabbar, a remake of the hit Tamil film Thuppakki.
The actor tweeted, 'Starting the #NewYear, with a New Movie, a New Look & by God's Grace lots of Luck!! 1st shot for #GABBAR Wish me luck!'
Akshay's co-star in the film, Shruti Haasan, who underwent an appendix surgery earlier this week, has resumed work.
‘Back in mumbai and back to shoot - bye bye appendix hello new year :) ugggh I hate pain :( Day 1 of gabbar! :)’ she tweeted with a picture from the sets.
The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom18.

Celebrating 10 years of Chameli!
Kareena Kapoor's 2004 film Chameli, co-starring Rahul Bose, completes 10 years on January 9.
Celebrating the occasion, producer Rangita Pritish Nandy shared a picture and added: ‘#10YearsOf Chameli #SudhirMishra #RahulBose #KareenaKapoor ' Such immense magic ' And Anant Balani, you will always be loved. ‘
Anant Balani, who was directing the film, passed away during its making. Sudhir Mishra then took over as director.
Director Sudhir Mishra added: ‘Chameli if u watch it carefully was about a prostitutes right to say "No".’

Bipasha Basu celebrated her 35th birthday on January 7 with family and close friends.

Prateik Babbar's Rum Pum Posshh gets stalled
Actor Prateik Babbar’s much delayed film Rum Pum Posshh has apparently been stalled due to the lack of funds.
Confirming the news, the actor tweeted: ‘Sad news to share..rum pum poshsh the film has been stalled due to financial complications. But im not going anywhere..more brilliant films coming your way..real soon :)..keep that faith.’
Meanwhile, Prateik also bumped into Salman Khan. ‘spent the day chatting with (bhai) salmaan khan yesterday..till late at night..in between shots..we were both filming at filmistaan studios,’ he added.
Nicole Faria makes Bollywood debut with Yaariyan
Former Miss Earth Nicole Faria, who is making her debut this Friday, January 10 with Yaariyan, is feeling the jitters before the release.
The 23-year-old actress thanked her fans and tweeted: ‘A BIG thank you to all my fans and supporters for motivating me and giving me positive energy. En route Dubai for Yaariyan's premier :)’
‘The movie has hints of comedy, adventure, drama and a lot of fun :) it's a story about 5 college kids and their experiences,’ she added.
The college-based romance adventure film, directed by Divya Khosla Kumar, also stars Himansh Kohli, Serah Singh and Rakul Preet Singh.
