Sanjay Dutt to complete films before going to jail

March 28, 2013 12:30 IST

Sanjay DuttHis imminent incarceration may be looming over him but Sanjay Dutt, as he stated in a brief press conference earlier today, is determined to complete all his film projects before his sent off to prison in April.

The actor finished dubbing for Apoorva Lakhia's Zanjeer earlier this week, and received a cheque of Rs 1.5 crores as his dubbing fee.

Meanwhile, a huge bash at the Four Seasons -- planned to introduce Zanjeer leading man Ram Charan Teja in Bollywood -- was cancelled.

Director Apoorva Lakhia says, “We

had planned this massive birthday party for Ram Charan Teja to formally introduce him to the entire industry but we cancelled the bash after what happened to Sanju Sir.”

Dutt resumed shooting for producer T P Aggarwal’s Policegiri today, March 28.

“We were supposed to resume shooting on Wednesday but it was Holi and Sanjay insisted that we don’t waste any time (considering he only has a four-week window before his imprisonment)," says Aggarwal. "We insisted that he spend Holi with his family so we resume on Thursday and wrap up the shooting in 10 days.”

Holi was understandably a sombre affair at the Dutt residence.
