Salman under Bodyguard pressure?

August 26, 2011 11:37 IST

A Bodyguard movie posterSalman Khan has a lot going on right now.

The actor is set to fly to the US on August 27 regarding the facial nerve disorder -- called trigenminal neuralgia -- that he was diagnosed with a while ago. This disorder is
caused by pressure on the nerve carrying sensations from the brain to the face, leading to stabbing or electric shock-like pain. The actor is likely to undergo surgery in the US for this.

But Reliance, the co-producers of Salman's next release Bodyguard, has apparently issued an ultimatum to Atul Agnihotri to complete the film in time for its scheduled Eid release.

To add to that, Salman was caught in a tricky situation as he found himself flitting between the last schedule of  Bodyguard and the first schedule of Yashraj Films' Ek Tha Tiger.

There

was talk of postponing the film's release but the idea was shot down by Reliance. A source said, "They made it very clear to Atul Agnihotri that the film has to be Salman's Eid release. If that deadline was missed then Reliance would wait till next year's Eid but wouldn't release on a non-Eid weekend."

The ultimatum had Salman pulling up his socks and going out of his way to complete the film in time. Word is, he is now dividing his time between the shooting of Ek Tha Tiger and editing of Bodyguard.

When contacted, Agnihotri said, "We're all set to release on time."
