Did you know that Legally Blonde actress Reese Witherspoon was pregnant when she was shooting for Mira Nair's screen adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray's Vanity Fair?
Apparently, her tummy had to be hidden under voluminous folds of fabric. The film being a period drama set in the 1820s, the period dresses made it easy and so did standing behind furniture, reports Variety. She told the trade publication: "We've had a couple of scenes where my stomach was peeking out a bit, but we've found solutions."
Ryan Phillipe and Witherspoon are now proud parents of Deacon Phillippe, who was born last October. And Vanity Fair releases this fall.
Meanwhile, the 28 year-old Witherspoon will now produce and act in The Proposal, a romantic comedy about wedding plans going awry. Revolution Studios spearheads this project.
The actress is also working on Sports Widow. It is said to be about a wife who tries to outwit her partner in his knowledge of sports.
