A day after being granted bail, runner-up of popular reality show Bigg Boss 2, Raja Chaudhary found himself behind bars for allegedly molesting a 23-year-old girl in his car.
Raja was arrested yesterday for misbehaving with an eunuch and released on bail.
The girl, who is an astrologer, had approached him to collect her pending payments when Raja tried to molest her, police said. He asked the girl to come to a restaurant in Versova, in the Western suburb of Mumbai, when she reminded him about the payments.
"They sat in a restaurant on Tuesday evening and discussed various things," said Dilip Gaikwad, senior police inspector of the Santa Cruz police station. Since it was late in the evening, Raja told the girl that he would drop her home in his car, the officer said.
"While they were on their way to Girgaon in South Mumbai, Raja, who was sitting in the front seat, stopped the car and sat next to her in the rear seat," he said. "He then, according to the victim, tried to molest her when they reached near HDFC bank on Link Road," he said.
