Raj Babbar: I am in the middle of an election campaign in Uttar Pradesh [ Images ]. I heard the tragic news. I've worked with Raj Kanwar and he launched my son Aarya in Ab Ke Baras. It's really very sad. I pray that his family gets the strength to bear the loss.

Amrita Rao [ Images ]: How can I forget my first director? I made my debut with Rajji's Ab Ke Baras. He was a tough taskmaster, a perfectionist and he demanded high-voltage performances from his actors. He made sure the actors delivered in the first take. What is happening to the entertainment industry is truly shocking. Giants are falling one after another."
Suneel Darshan: He directed one of his biggest hits Andaaz for my banner. What do you say about a filmmaker whose body of work spanned two decades? Raj made hits like Deewana, Laadla, Jeet, Judaai, Baadal and Andaaz. His demise is a loss for the entire film fraternity and for the audience.
Luv Sinha [ Images ] (Shatrughan Sinha's [ Images ] son, who was launched in Raj Kanwar's last film Sadiyaan): Very unexpected and tragic loss. He loved to entertain everyone with his anecdotes and jokes. My prayers are with his wife Anitaji and the family.
