When movie titles were in song

Last updated on: June 11, 2007 17:15 IST
Seems like originality has gone out of the window. Just take a look at the music scene in the Hindi film industry and you will see, or in this case, hear old songs recycled and re-packaged over and over again.

Now, it's the turn of the movie titles. Quite a few movies are named after old songs like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Ek Hasina Thi, Chasme Badoor or Aamir Khan's underproduction movie, Tare Zameen Pe.

This week's release, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, is also taken from a famous qawwali, Jhoom barabar jhoom sharabi, sung by Aziz Nazan.

There are many more titles out there and here's a chance to test your mental prowess. We have listed some movie titles inspired from old songs. See if you can guess where they came from. Good luck!
