Priya Anand

The gorgeous Priya Anand, who was last seen in Aishwarya Dhanush's psychological thriller Vai Raja Vai, is busy with two Tamil projects.

She is working with Ashok Selvan (Thegidi) in debutant director T J Gnanavel's Kootathil Oruthan.

It is her other film Muthuramalingam with director Rajadurai that's making news.

Priya has apparently shed her glamorous avatar and will be seen as a simple village girl in the film. She is also believed to be practicing Silambam, a traditional martial arts form, for her role.

The film will mark her second outing with Gautham Karthik, her co-star in Vai Raja Vai.

It's a wrap for Nenjam Marappathillai

Director Selvaraghavan, who has been shooting Nenjam Marappathillai for the last six months, recently tweeted that the film has been wrapped up.

A horror thriller, the film stars director SJ Suryah, Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha.

Yuvan Shankar Raja omposes the music while Arvind Krishna is the cinematographer.

The film is being bankrolled by director Gautham Menon for Ondraga Entertainment in association with P Madan's Escape Artists Motion Pictures.

The first look poster, which was released recently, has been trending on social media.

With three popular directors involved in the making -- Selvaraghavan, SJ Suryah and Gautham Menon -- the film is making the right noises.

Chandramukhi 2 on the cards?

P Vasu has over 50 films to his credit in a career spanning three decades.

His latest directorial venture, the Kannada film Shivalinga (starring Shiva Rajkumar and Vedhika), was released in February and has completed a 100-day run in theatres.

Thrilled with its success, the director has announced a remake.

Surprisingly, he plans to name it Chandramukhi 2 after the 2005 blockbuster starring Rajinikanth, Prabhu and Jyothika.

Initially, Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna were being approached for the role, but latest reports confirm that Raghava Lawrence has been signed on to reprise Shiva Rajkumar's role.

Reports also suggest that the director has roped in Irudhi Suttru heroine Ritika Singh.
