Prabhas contributes Rs 4 crore to fight coronavirus

With coronavirus taking on an epic scale, several score Indians are reeling under its impact.

Stars from the south Indian movie industry have stepped up to do what they can to help out.

Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi and Nithiin have contributed to provide financial relief to those who need it.

Prabhas has contributed Rs 3 crore to the prime minister's relief fund plus Rs 50 lakh each to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana CM relief funds.

Pawan Kalyan has donated Rs 1 crore to the prime minister's relief fund. He also donated Rs 50 lakh to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana CM relief funds.

Rajinikanth has donated Rs 50 lakh to provide rice bags for nearly 15,000 registered Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) workers, most of whom are daily wage earners.

Siva Kumar, Suriya, Karthi and Vijay Sethupathi have donated Rs 10 lakh to FEFSI workers, who are facing an industry shutdown.

Ram Charan has contributed Rs 70 lakh to the prime minister's relief fund and the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana relief funds.

Mahesh Babu has donated Rs 1 crore to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana relief funds while Nitiin has donated Rs 10 lakh each to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana relief funds. Writer Anil Ravipudi has contributed Rs 5 lakh each to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana relief funds.

Allu Arjun will contribute Rs 1.25 crore to the Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala CM relief funds.

'The COVID-19 virus has taken the work by storm and changed our everyday lives. But even in times like these, people like doctors, nurses, police and military personnel are putting up great contributions to the society," says Allu Arjun 'Bunny'.

'Drawing inspiration from them, I would like to contribute Rs 1.25 crore to the governments of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala,' adds 'Bunny'. 'The only way to fight this virus is washing your hands regularly and staying in isolation.'
