PIX: The GORGEOUS women Akshay launched

Khiladi Kumar really knows how to place his bets on newbies...

In an eventful career spanning close to 25 years, Akshay Kumar has starred in over 100 films.

The list of his leading ladies is just as prolific as the many milestones he's achieved in his career.

Here then, is a look at all the gorgeous faces he has launched into the big league over the years:



Amy Jackson (Singh Is Bliing)

 

While this Brit beauty's actign debut Ek Deewana Tha sank without a trace, she has had better luck down South.

Her latest release I (starring Vikram) turned out to be a smash hit.

She is now being relaunched in Bollywood by Khiladi Kumar with Prabhu Dheva-directed Singh Is Bliing.


Nimrat Kaur (Airlift) 

 

Nimrat Kaur was put on the global map with Ritesh Batra's The Lunchbox, which travelled far and wide to acclaim.

She also landed a plum job on hit American espionage drama Homeland.

With Airlift, Nimrat will step into commercial territory, and given a hand by Akshay!

She plays his wife in the film, which releases around Republic Day.

 

Madhurima Tuli (Baby)

 

Did you know this actress starred in films like Warning, Kaalo and Cigarette Ki Tarah? 

It was her role in Kumar's Baby, albeit small, that put her on the map though.

Trisha (Khatta Meetha) 

 

When Trisha Krishnan, a popular face down South decided to foray in Hindi films, she was launched into Hindi cinema with Akshay and director Priyadarshan's Khatta Meetha in 2010.

 

Neetu Chandra, Nargis Bagheri, Daisy Bopanna (Garam Masala)

 

Priyadarshan's Garam Masala marked the debut of as many as three girls.

Onscreen air hostesses Neetu Chandra, Nargis Bagheri and Daisy Bopanna played Akshay's love interest in this goofy comedy.

Among the three, only Neetu managed to grab a few notable roles following Garam Masala

 

Divya Khosla (Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo)

 

More than a decade ago, Divya Khosla decided to step into the world of glamour.

In the action entertainer, she played the young wife of Akshay Kumar.

Soon after she settled for domestic bliss with T-Series chief Bhushan Kumar, she took to directing with Yaariyan, a commercial hit, and the upcoming Sanam Re.

 

Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta (Andaaz)

 

Raj Kanwar's 2003 drama Andaz launched Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta, who had clinched the Miss World and Miss Universe titles respectively in 2000.

Even though Priyanka had been seen in a special appearance in Sunny Deol starrer The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, it was Andaaz that marked her debut as a lead actress.

Both her and Lara went on to do quite a few successful films with Akshay over the years.


Bipasha Basu (Ajnabee)

 

Bipasha Basu made a stunning debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Abbas Mustan's Ajnabee in 2001.

Her villainous role in the film was effectively complemented by her famous onscreen sensuality.

The Mehbooba song featuring her and Kumar was a chart topper at the time.

  

Shanti Priya (Saugandh)

 

For his debut movie Saugandh, Akshay Kumar starred along side another debutant, Shanti Priya.

The two went on to star in Ikke Pe Ikka
