Not many know that before Fauji, Shah Rukh had worked in Lekh Tandon's TV series Dil Dariya.

A few production hassles resulted in the show being pushed a little ahead of Fauji.

In Dil Dariya, Shah Rukh played a youngster caught in an emotional turbulence faced by Sikh and Hindu neighbouring families.
